Encyclia Citrina is an orchid with pendant plants and flowers. The flowers are arranged in an inflorescence that measures 6–10 cm (2.4–3.9 in) in length and typically consist of one to two large flowers. The blooms of Encyclia Citrina range in color from pale yellow to canary yellow, sometimes with hints of orange, and they have fleshy sepals and petals. Although Encyclia Citrina is not native to Singapore, its beautiful and remarkably strong citrus scent has made it a valuable addition to our fragrance portfolio. Its captivating aroma adds a refreshing and uplifting quality to our perfume blends. |

Chinese name: Chibanshidou Lan (tooth petal stone bean orchid) Chinese medicinal name: Duyeyanzhu Bulbophyllum levinei, also known as Chibanshidou Lan or tooth petal stone bean orchid, is utilized in traditional medicine to treat swellings. It is believed to "benefit yin and reduce heat," making it valuable for addressing conditions such as sore throat, tonsillitis, mouth ulcers, and fever. To prepare a decoction, 6–15 g of dried herb or 30–60 g of fresh herb is boiled. The plant can also be pulverized to create a paste for external application. This versatile orchid offers therapeutic properties that make it beneficial for various inflammatory conditions. |
Eulophia pratensis Lindl. syn. Eulophia ramentacea Wight
Local name: (Marathi): Satavari Eulophia pratensis, also known as Satavari, is a plant whose tubers are used in herbal medicine. The tubers are processed into a substance called salep misri, which has various medicinal applications. Fresh tubers are pounded and applied topically over the abdomen to kill worms. They can also be applied externally or taken orally to treat enlarged scrofulous glands in the neck. Additionally, the dried roots of Eulophia pratensis are placed in small bags and strategically set around a building to repel snakes.
