It is worth noting that although D. eriiflorum was among the 21 samples of Herba Dendrobii collected from different herbal sources, it is not included in the standard Chinese Materia Medica as shihu, which is a commonly used term for Dendrobium in Chinese herbal medicine. |

Indian Ayurvedic names: Riddhi, Riddhi Vridhi, Laksmi, Mangala, Rathanga, Rissisrista, Saravajanpriya, Siddhi, Sukha, Vasa, Yuga, Kakoli. (in Garhwal): also Pranda, Talgranthisamakand, Vamavartal, and Vrisya are names associated with the herb known as Riddhi. Riddhi is widely distributed from China to the northwest Himalayas, including the Anamalai Hills of Tamil Nadu. In the Ayurvedic tradition, Riddhi holds significant medicinal value. The roots of Riddhi are consumed as food or taken as a tonic. It is also recognized for its aphrodisiac properties. Riddhi has a sweet taste and is believed to pacify vata and pitta doshas while aggravating kapha dosha. It is considered beneficial for slim or driven individuals but may not be suitable for those who are laid back or obese. Riddhi is known for its cooling effect and its ability to promote semen production. Both the leaves and roots of Riddhi are used in treating various blood-related disorders. In the Garhwal region of the Indian Himalayas, the powdered pseudobulb of the orchid is combined with Ashtavarga and Swarnabhashma (gold calcinations) to create a potion that promotes milk production. Riddhi is utilized as a brain tonic, general tonic, depurant, appetizer, "rasayan" (rejuvenative), and emollient. The recommended oral dose of powdered tuber is 2-3 grams. It is incorporated into Ayurvedic formulations such as Astavarga churna, Chyavanprash rasayan, and Mahamayura ghrita. |

The distinct aroma of Bartlett pears is produced by ethyl (E,Z)-2,4-decadienoate and its corresponding methyl ester. |
