These orchids have club-shaped, four-angled pseudobulbs that cluster tightly. They grow in Myanmar (Tenasserim), Peninsular Thailand, Indochina, Malaysia, Kalimantan, and the Philippines. In Peninsular Malaysia, they are used in herbal medicine to treat swelling (oedema). |

In Andhra Pradesh, the Konda reddis use a mixture of the tubers, pepper, and garlic to treat snake bites by consuming the extract orally. |
