We hear this phrase so much, but what does work-life balance really mean? And how many of us actually equally prioritise our career and personal life? Who here is guilty of attending to work related issues on your off days? Because I am.
So why is maintaining work-life balance so important? And how can we better create a lifestyle that balances out both?
#1. Accept that there is no perfect work-life balance
As much as we want it, we’ll never be able to achieve work life balance. We all want to head home once our work is completed, that’s just not how it works.
Rather than striving for something perfect, go for something more realistic. Set realistic goals that you’re able to achieve at the moment, rather than something ambitious. Complete small tasks one at a time, rather than trying to finish a big project all together.
So why is maintaining work-life balance so important? And how can we better create a lifestyle that balances out both?

We never seem to have enough time at work to finish the tasks assigned, so we work extra hours trying to check off our never ending to-do-list. Over time, our health suffers as a result of irregular sleep patterns and stress. Don’t make that mistake.
