Tips on how to be more productive
 
As much as we want to be productive and get things done, there are definitely certain days where we just want to take it slow and do things at our own comfortable pace.
 
Below I've collated several tips on how to stay productive and not let distractions get in the way.
 
Do the most important things first
 
Prioritise your task and sort out which are the urgent ones that you’ll have to complete first. I’m not saying totally forget about the other tasks, but you can leave it for a later date as compared. By doing so, you’ll lower the chances of you procrastinating and getting some actual work done.
 

Take breaks in between
 
Studies have shown that taking a break after a long period of work can actually help us to recharge. When we feel recharged, we are more likely to come up with better ideas and accomplish more as compared to trying to do the same task for 4 hours straight. At some point of time, you’ll just feel your brain overworked and shutting down. Often ending up with you feeling unmotivated and distracted with other things.

Learn to say no
 
It is important to learn to say no to certain tasks and people - even if it’s uncomfortable. We shouldn’t feel the need to justify when we say no to the people around us when they ask for help. If we don’t set a limit, we’ll always be helping other people to complete their tasks, leaving no time for ourselves. This is not healthy and also disrespectful to ourselves as we feel the constant need to help and please others.
 
Saying no gives us more personal time so that we can complete things that are already planned out, and hence be more productive in the process.

Wake up early
 
By waking up early, even if it's only by 20-30mins. With that extra time, you’ll find that you can do a lot more things and have a head start on the day, leading you to be more productive. Use that time to plan, write down a to do list for you to follow throughout the day. So you won’t feel like you’re rushing for anything.
